Reference Data
The taxes, NRS codes, and NRS reference lists an e-invoice payload is built from
These endpoints return the values an invoice payload is built from. Each is a GET under /api/v1/e-invoicing/ with no parameters, and each needs the same access as the rest of e-invoicing: e-invoicing on the business's plan and NRS setup completed in Duplo Dashboard, or the call returns 403.
Values you send on an invoice
| Endpoint | Each item | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
GET /taxes | name, rate | An item's taxes. Send an NRS category's name and rate as they are |
GET /product-codes | code, description | An item's hsnCode, which only accepts the NNNN.NN form |
GET /service-codes | code, description | An item's isicCode |
/taxes lists the taxes set up for your business first, then the NRS tax categories that have a published rate, with rate in percentage points (7.5 for 7.5% VAT). An NRS category's name is its category code, such as STANDARD_VAT, and that code is what NRS expects as the tax name.
NRS reference lists
| Endpoint | Each item |
|---|---|
GET /tax-categories | code, value, percent |
GET /quantity-codes | code, name, description |
GET /countries | As NRS publishes it |
GET /currencies | As NRS publishes it |
GET /payment-means | As NRS publishes it |
GET /invoice-types | As NRS publishes it |
GET /vat-exemptions | As NRS publishes it |
/tax-categories is the full NRS list, including categories whose percent is blank or Not Available. /taxes leaves those out.
You never send a quantity code: an item's unit takes a fixed value such as Hour or Pieces, and Duplo converts it to the matching NRS code.
NRS's countries list is reference data only. For the country and state on a customer or on supplierData, use the countries endpoints.
